In 1980, Kumho Institute of Technology was established as a specialized engineering college to cultivate outstanding talent in the industrial field that will lead the Republic of Korea's economic development. With the nationalization in 1990 and the campus transfer in 2004, the quantitative and qualitative growth I have continued. Since the foundation in 1980 as a university specialized in engineering, the kit has cultivated practical and creative engineering talents necessary to develop the national industry. To make a big push, the kit has been committed to the growth of students, faculty members, regional communities, and national scientific technology through the advanced curriculum and education programs. Facing the new environment of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, our college also wants to make a 'new beginning' by gathering hearts and minds. We will establish an administrative, financial, and communication system for efficient university management and become a university that contributes to the community and the nation through education, research, and external cooperation unique to the university... Kit University has many advantages, such as students' attachment to the school, the professors' willingness to develop the school, the sincerity and responsibility of the employees, the excellent competence of the graduates, and the neighboring states of the national industrial complex. In 2015, kit newly established a future-oriented vision to match the current status as a glocal university based on philosophy and ideology that continued ever since the foundation. The kit's education goal is to nurture a practical workforce that will contribute to the development of the nation and human society by developing individual qualifications and leadership based on the founding principles through teaching and research of academic theories and applications. The kit has been recognized for having infinite potential for growth, a high-quality, practical education system, and a high employment rate. In 2013, the university set a new goal to become an R&BD technical university for cultivating creative engineers. Future education should focus on nurturing creative, talented individuals and contributing to the development of regional communities. To this end, universities have to make innovations in education, research, and cooperation of academy and business. Matching the universities' changes, kit changes the education system to develop sufficient experience-based self-directed engineers. It strengthens the foundation for developing regional communities and the nation by training multifunctional. Now, the kit must attain educational excellence through creative endeavors and developments of the university's founding philosophy while continually responding to changes in the educational environment and the demands of the local community in response to the 21st-century civilization historical events.
