      1. Keble Prep is a traditional Prep School for boys aged 4 to 13. There are around 220 boys taught in small classes or subject groups. As well as pursuing academic excellence we are committed to a broad education, which values the role of sport, music, and drama. Small class sizes, an attractive, well-resourced location, and vibrant teaching all contribute towards a working environment that will enable them to achieve success. We place a great emphasis on values like good manners, courtesy, and independence. Above all, Keble Prep is a happy and caring environment where boys can achieve in a wide variety of areas, and leave as confident young men. We feel the warm and friendly atmosphere is a major factor in helping our boys maximize their potential. at Keble, we have a long tradition of educating boys and providing them with the best possible start for their educational journey. From the moment your son joins us, they become part of a busy community and we pride ourselves on the breadth of curriculum and experiences the boys here at Keble take part in. The impressive range of senior schools we send boys to both at 11+ and 13+ is a testament to how well we do academically. However, here at Keble Prep, we realize that academia is just one part of your son’s character and so through our sports, arts, music, and drama we look to develop your son’s physical, creative, emotional, and personal character. As a single-sex boys’ school, we can develop our curriculum to ensure boys not only make excellent academic progress but that they develop an enjoyment of learning. We don't expect boys to just sit and absorb information but for them to play an active role in their learning. This allows us to develop boys equipped with the skills to succeed not just in school but in life. View full school
      2. We are a diverse, vibrant learning community committed to providing the best possible education for all of our children, nurturing and teaching them in a Christian environment. For us, our children must be offered as many experiences as possible to ensure that they are well equipped to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving society. This also means forming sound and positive relationships built on mutual trust. Our staff is all here to support the children – investing in tomorrow’s workforce and citizens ensuring they are academically, socially, and emotionally prepared for the future. Our expectations are consistently high not just from ourselves as educators but also of the children and families who make our community. John Keble is a unique school. We are a Church of England school with a strong Christian ethos, committed to ensuring that each student is known as an individual, develops the knowledge, skills, and personal qualities to lead successful and fulfilling lives, and is empowered to do so. The School Motto is “Give us understanding that we may live.” As a community, we want to be the very best school for our students, one which ensures that each student experiences a challenging learning journey. We work together to create a reflective, creative and vibrant atmosphere in which all our students may thrive. Our community is based on strong relationships that are built, maintained, and celebrated. This also means that when conflicts arise, differences are discussed openly and relationships are repaired. The school was founded over 100 years ago by the Sisters of the Church to provide local children with a good education based on Christian principles. We seek to perpetuate the Sisters’ vision by applying these founding principles daily and by ensuring that the children know they are loved, unique and special. John Keble School prides itself on its wide, rich curriculum. Students receive high-quality teaching which meets their needs. The curriculum is engaging, relevant, stimulating, and inspiring. We encourage independent learning and self-reflection to prepare our students for a future we cannot see, supporting them as they learn to problem-solve, think and develop confidence in their unique abilities. Music, PE, and Spanish are taught by specialist teachers, ensuring high-quality opportunities for all. Alongside the variety of curriculum subjects, there is a wide choice of after-school clubs that interest students. These have a high take up and they are extremely popular. Our academic results are good. At the end of Year 6 (Key Stage 2) in 2017, 67% of children reached the Nationally Expected Standard in reading, writing, and maths. This is higher than both the Brent Average (61%) and the National Average (61%). Further details of our performance data are presented under the 'statutory information' section in 'about us'. At John Keble School, we feel a deep responsibility to nurture and develop core British values that can guide our lives and be shared and expressed by everyone – regardless of faith or belief. These guide our school community, helping to form character, spiritual awareness, and self-esteem and are firmly based on the commandment of Jesus to ‘love your neighbor,’ and to treat others as we would expect to be treated. John Keble School places great emphasis on developing children who value and respect themselves and others, who love learning, and have a deep sense of fairness and social justice. As a school community, we seek to promote reflection about children’s own beliefs and faith and to encourage their interest in and respect of other religions and faiths. As a Church of England school, we aim to anchor these values in the Christian faith through our collective worship and whole school ethos. View full school
