Our purposes may be illustrated by a pair of glasses. One lens is made up of our objectives to develop students with biblical character traits who have integrity as they live in the world. The spiritual formation of students is critical to raising responsive disciples. The other lens is to bring the mind of Christ to education so that students are educated with academic rigor and will be accepted into their English university of choice around the world. IICS believes that both lenses must be in focus for students to reach their full potential. Students are created in God’s image and are made with special characteristics positioning them to carry out God’s design for their lives. Helping your child to live for a Christ-centered purpose includes the “head” knowledge of a biblical worldview, the “heart” knowledge of a personal commitment to Christ, and the outreach experience of faith in action through “hands.” IICS works in tandem with parents to uncover their unique strengths and talents. Within our Kindergarten & Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High, we want children to feel significant and secure in all classrooms and experience a sense of belonging within our biblical learning community. We are looking for an increased number of children, parents, and teachers to join our “shalom community.” Our school is made up of a diverse community of believers from many international locations that are united in the love of Christ. IPEKA Christian School was established when a young Chinese pastor, Dr. William Ho realized that Christian families were unable to find quality Christian schools for their children. Along with several church leaders, he developed a vision for a new school based on three objectives: to educate the nation, provide education of the highest standards, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ through education. These three pillars grew into the mission and vision of IPEKA. We’re building on this legacy as we continue to develop the next generation of strategic leaders who integrate faith and learning. IPEKA INTEGRATED Christian School Kindergarten uses A Beka Christian Curriculum, an integrated, Bible-based curriculum from the U.S. which provides students with knowledge and opportunities to learn more about God through all subjects. The school also applies that philosophy in the daily method of teaching to help students grow in their faith and to protect them from the attack of worldly values. IPEKA INTEGRATED Kindergarten has a 3-year education program (Nursery, Kindergarten 4 {K4}, and Kindergarten 5 {K5}), providing a unique opportunity for students to learn from a variety of teaching materials and methodology from our professional, trained staff. Grade 1 through 6 will use the New South Wales (NSW) Australiacurriculum standards to set their outcomes and plans to continue the learning process. Students will use a variety of textbooks from America, Australia, and other countries that are aligned to the standards of NSW and will provide the desired content outcomes. Students will learn the 21st-century learning skills that cover creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration which are all based on Biblical principles. With extensive experience in education and by the grace of God, IPEKA Christian School will open a new branch location, that is, IPEKA Plus BSD, which will start in the 2015/2016 Academic Year. IPEKA Plus BSD is strategically located in the BSD City area and is easily accessed from Gading Serpong, Alam Sutera, Karawaci, and other surrounding areas. We can measure the progress of a nation through the growth of its economy. And yet, the growth walks side by side with the development of its industrial sector. And still, that development depends on the quality of its human resources. It is our responsibility to prepare the next generations of this nation by improving its people. The quality of human resources is not merely in terms of ability or academic level, but more importantly, is in terms of character and integrity. IPEKA Foundation was established by the Synod of Gereja Kristus Yesus to serve in the education field and to develop the nation through preparing the younger generations with Christian education. Praise the Lord, established in 1979, Sekolah Kristen IPEKA that began with 5 teachers and 100 students have been growing rapidly, and up until now has several schools across several cities in Indonesia with more than 10.000 students from Kindergarten to Senior High School. IPEKA Christian School was originated from a deep concern of a pastor who witnessed the difficulty of many Christian families in finding a good Christian school for their children. Rev. DR. William Hodaviah Hosana who was at that time the head pastor of Gereja Kristus Jemaat Mangga Besar (now Gereja Kristus Yesus or GKY) was very concerned about this matter and later God opened a vision to start a Christian school.
