Hebron Academy is among the nation's oldest endowed boarding schools. Chartered in 1804, Hebron opened its doors to students in 1805. For more than two centuries, our mission and core values have remained consistent with the school's original charter—that our students be taught liberal arts and sciences and educated to revere life and respect and honor individuality. At Hebron Academy, our mission is to inspire and guide students to reach their highest potential in mind, body, and spirit. Hebron's long-established Middle School offers a new boarding program to students in 6th through 8th grade who seek personalized, quality education, which is the Middle School's hallmark at Hebron. Why Middle School Boarding at Hebron? A personal approach to boarding Family-centered residential life program provided by experienced, caring dorm parents. An exceptional one-on-one Advisory program in a safe, inclusive school environment. After-school offerings in athletics, arts, and sciences. Around-the-clock supervision by experienced, professional faculty. Experiential learning - Middle School students regularly visit museums, historical sights, and music and art exhibitions. They also learn through travel opportunities to Quebec City, Montreal, Boston, and New York. American culture - Boarding students are optionally paired with local families to receive the added benefit of a home experience combined with campus dorm living structure and programming. Outdoor Education Program that teaches sustainability and an appreciation of Maine's great outdoors. The Program Director has been a Registered Maine Guide for 20 years. Average of 10 students in a discussion-based class setting. Advanced curriculum for motivated learners. ESOL support. Dedicated faculty, many with advanced degrees. Access to all campus facilities Kaneb Center for Science and Engineering Williams Athletic Center and Dwyer Fields Lepage Center for the Visual and Performing Arts Teaching philosophy centered around character education and experiential learning.
