We became an Ark academy in September 2015. By joining Ark, we have become part of a network of schools that is characterized by its exceptionally high expectations for every child. We aim to provide an excellent education that lays the foundations for your child to reach the academic standards and have the breadth of experience necessary to gain a place at university at the end of their secondary education. Like other Ark schools, we put English and mathematics at the heart of our primary curriculum and provide outstanding teaching and support. We also use the latest educational technology to ensure that your child has access to personalized tuition, both within the school and beyond the school day. This way, we help every child to do as well as they possibly can. Our love of new technology also means that we can keep parents updated on their children’s daily progress by sending information directly, but securely, to your mobile device. Each Ark school has its distinctive character but they all share the same goal: to make sure every pupil does well enough to go to university or pursue the career of their choice. From the moment your child joins our school, we focus on laying the foundations for their future success. At Ark Chamberlain, we want our children to develop a love of learning and experience a rounded education. We ensure every year group covers a broad and balanced curriculum that engages the children. Every day, maths, writing and reading will be taught, as these are core subjects and very important to children’s development. In addition to this, we teach topic-which cover geography and history, PSHCE- which involves children’s personal, social, and health education, RE, computing, and Spanish. We are incredibly lucky to have specialist teachers to deliver PE, music, and art. These subjects are taught once a week and give the children a wealth of opportunities to extend their learning. We want Ark Chamberlain Primary Academy to be enjoyable for every pupil. Pupils should be able to learn, appreciate their lessons, make friends and be enthusiastic about education. We want to encourage good behavior and discourage behavior that would undermine learning or confidence between pupils or pupils and staff. We will acknowledge desirable behavior with praise and great behavior with tangible rewards. We will impose consistent, clear, and unavoidable sanctions for unacceptable behavior. Chamberlain College of Nursing prepares extraordinary nurses with the knowledge, skills, values, and beliefs required to not only succeed but to make a difference in today's complex healthcare environment. Chamberlain offers an onsite pre-licensure 3-Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, in addition to online post-licensure nursing degree options including the RN to BSN Online Option, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Graduate Certificate Programs. Chamberlain's educational agreements take the guesswork out of choosing an RN to BSN Degree Completion Option, MSN, or DNP degree program by providing up-front answers, group-specific tuition rates, and advisors who can answer questions — before applying to Chamberlain. Busy nurses have the opportunity to advance their nursing credentials online without having to worry about ever-changing work schedules. Chamberlain's online learning environment is open 24 hours a day, allowing nurses to attend the class as their schedule allows. Online coursework allows registered nurses to complete their programs online without travel or having to rearrange work schedules. Group-specific tuition rates plus waived application fees are intended to make tuition reimbursement dollars go further. A dedicated advising team provides registered nurses with personal assistance from the first point of contact and beyond. Graduate Certificates are offered in the key specialties of Nursing Education, Leadership Informatics, and Family Nurse Practioner, as well as a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Leadership Foundations. Students in the Graduate Certificate Programs may complete either the Educator, Informatics, Leadership, or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialty track courses, except Capstone, currently provided in Chamberlain's Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program. Chamberlain's administration, faculty, and staff are actively confronting the healthcare community's pressing issues. They are preparing new nurses for the challenges they will face and empowering practicing nurses to fill key leadership roles and advance care. Our roots go back to the Deaconess tradition of 19th-century Europe. Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, studied at a Deaconess facility in Germany and later applied the concepts she learned to her nursing practice. In 1889, an evangelical pastor in St. Louis, Missouri, proposed establishing healthcare services based on the Deaconess model to address the local community's needs. Those services evolved into the Deaconess School of Nursing and, later, Deaconess College of Nursing. In March 2005, Adtalem Global Education (formerly DeVry Education Group) acquired Deaconess. A term of the acquisition agreement required Adtalem to change the name of the school. Chamberlain's chosen name is derived from the Middle English word "chamberlain," which means "chief steward" – in recognition of the critical role of the nurse as the central steward and coordinator of patient care.
