  1. ABS is incredibly excited about entering our 10th year. We are very happy and proud of the golden opportunities we have been able to offer our students as we strive to find more ways to become even better. Since ABS was opened in 2006 we have seen many great changes and expanded significantly in all aspects such as academic, social, and character education, athletics, and art. Professional activities have been incorporated into every field and we put great emphasis upon building teachers’ skills to continue to develop their level of performance in the classroom which, in turn, gives students a wonderful learning environment full of engagement and meaningful work. Throughout the 2017-2018 school year, we are continuing to build on and refine our solid foundation by having even more extracurricular activities and advanced professional development workshops to encourage our students to become more involved with school life. We are enjoying another very positive and productive year with our highly qualified professional educators who are committed to providing our students with the best education. Being in the Middle East region we face many challenges and yet we always ensure we find other support options that allow us to succeed and continue to enjoy great success. At ABS we highly value school/parent communication. It is extremely important to us and plays an important role in student success so we always endeavor to work cooperatively and in parallel. The American Baccalaureate School is a private, non-profit K-12 school offering an American-based curriculum including a wide variety of advanced courses, and a college preparatory program, guiding students to become independent, intellectual global citizens. Our community practices Islamic values and morals while focusing on creating responsible and accountable young adults who are prepared for the challenges of international universities. The ABS vision is to educate leaders who will develop into lifelong learners with Islamic values and contribute to the global community as critical thinkers and problem solvers. View full school
  2. The Amman Baccalaureate School is a bilingual (Arabic/English), coeducational, K – 12, Jordanian day school located on the outskirts of Amman, the capital of Jordan. The School is an all-through International Baccalaureate (IB) World Continuum School, which offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from KG1 to Grade 5, the IB Middle Years Programme from Grade 6 to Grade 10, and a choice of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or the IB Career-related Programme (CP) to students in Grades 11 and 12. The School is one of less than 30 schools worldwide to offer all 4 IB Programmes and the first school in Jordan to do so. The school was founded to provide a bilingual education that would meet, in quality and breadth, the highest international standards, whilst remaining firmly rooted in the Arab heritage and culture. At the same time, the school has increasingly attracted students from the international community who wish to take advantage of the opportunity offered in the Middle Years School and IB Diploma College to pursue an education in English which, nonetheless, sustains close contact with the culture of the host country. The Amman Baccalaureate School is a school where modern educational theory and practice are implemented and enthusiastically embraced. Involvement with each student as an individual is a guiding principle at ABS. The high proportion of teachers to students (1:7) allows this principle to be a reality. This compares very favorably with institutions of similar academic standing, both nationally and internationally. On behalf of the entire staff, students and parents, I would like to welcome you to the Amman Baccalaureate School. There is no question that the ABS has established an excellent and well-deserved reputation in the Kingdom, regionally and internationally for providing an outstanding quality education for students from Primary School to the International Baccalaureate College. Our staff embodies a wide range of experience and a wealth of enthusiasm. Our parents are tremendously supportive and contribute a huge amount of time and energy to the School. Our students throughout the School are lively, enthusiastic, and highly motivated, with the graduating class securing places at the most prestigious tertiary institutions in the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, and Jordan. The Amman Baccalaureate School is an IB World School that provides a bilingual education in Arabic and English, which, whilst meeting the highest international standards, remains firmly rooted in the Arab heritage.
