  1. Parkview International Pre-School (Kowloon) is the youngest of our 3 kindergartens and was established in 2007. In March 2014 we were accepted as a candidate at PYP school. In June 2016 we officially became an IB World School. As an international kindergarten, we have a diverse population of children and teachers from all over the world. We actively promote intercultural understanding and seek to develop international-mindedness in our community. We cater to children from one to six years old and offer bilingual and trilingual classes where children all learn English and Chinese (Putonghua and/or Cantonese). Almost all our classes have a maximum of 18 children. Two qualified early years teachers, operating in their native language, teach alongside each other, providing children with rich language immersion. Our campus is bright, modern, and airy with twelve classrooms, a music room, a large outdoor play space, equipped with a variety of climbing frames and resources for developing children’s physical skills, and a well-resourced library. We are developing a small garden area for children to learn about nature. Music is taught by a specialist teacher to all classes. At PIPS we believe that children learn best through actively engaging with each other, materials, and their environment. Our approach is inquiry-based and focuses on engaging children and challenging them. At PIPS, we believe in providing a caring, stimulating, motivating, safe, and sustainable environment that inspires learners of all nationalities to achieve their full potential. This is achieved through an educational program that allows learners to observe, explore, collaborate, reason, problem-solve and evaluate through inquiry. Parkview International Pre-School (PIPS) is committed to providing high-quality and innovative education.PIPS aims to nurture a community of learners to become inquiring, independent, knowledgeable, creative thinkers, with a life-long love of learning.PIPS encourages responsible, respectful, reflective practices along with intercultural understanding to promote compassionate, global citizens. At PIPS our principal aims are to provide a safe and caring environment and rich and varied educational experiences so that the children in our schools can flourish, grow, learn and fulfill their potential in every way. This year PIPS Kowloon has been officially authorized as an IB World School and our sister school on Hong Kong Island gained its status as an IB school in 2009. The PYP approach emphasizes the development of the whole child both academically and personally. It also aims to instill international-mindedness in all members of its community. We welcome diversity into our schools and value what other cultures from all over the world have to offer. The PYP is a forward-looking curriculum that seeks to equip children for the rapidly changing world that they will face in the future. Our schools use an inquiry-based approach designed to engage children and to challenge them whilst teaching them skills and attitudes that they can apply in many situations and that will last for life. Our children are encouraged to ask questions and work together in a collaborative way to solve problems. We expect our children to know how to behave, to develop good manners, and to learn to respect others as well as themselves. We recognize that all children are different, learn at different rates, and have their talents and interests. We support individual children in their efforts to learn and develop and seek to motivate and challenge them at the right level. We encourage them to become caring, open-minded, tolerant, and understanding members of society who realize that other people can have different points of view and beliefs that are equally as valid as their own. At PIPS we value parental involvement and welcome parents into school on many occasions to help us and to join with us in celebrating the learning that is taking place. We believe that an open partnership between parents and teachers is fundamental to achieving the very best for all our children. We welcome you to come to see our school in action and to join us in special events that we arrange. Please contact us if you would like to have a tour of either campus.
