Trinity Academy is a state-funded, independent, non-selective school. We opened in September 2014 with our first cohort of pupils joining the First Form (Year 7). At Trinity, we have a relentless focus on academic rigor and offer pupils of all backgrounds and abilities a style of education more usually associated with grammar schools or the independent sector. Every pupil is encouraged and supported throughout their time at the school to become the best that they can be. No one will ever be written off as 'unacademic'. Trinity expects most of its pupils will go on to university, with a significant proportion going to the very best universities.
Although Trinity is not a faith school, we draw on the best of the Catholic education tradition in academic and pastoral matters while being committed to serving the whole community and treating all pupils equally. The school is open on equal terms to members of all denominations and faiths and those with no religious background. Participation in any religious activities is entirely voluntary and at parental discretion.
Everything we do at Trinity is based on the school values of Wisdom, Fairness, Courage, and Self Discipline, underpinned by principles of inclusivity, integrity, respect, and high aspirations. Trinity provides a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for pupils. The highest standards of behavior are expected of everyone. Members of our school community must treat one another with kindness, patience, and respect.
Our school is a true community of pupils, teachers, parents, and friends who work and learn together within a compassionate culture where each person takes responsibility for themselves and their neighbor. Through a rigorous academic curriculum, rooted in high expectations and a ‘no excuses’ approach, every young person is given a world-class education. This will allow them to be the very best they can be in all aspects of their lives.
The school’s vision and values are founded on the Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance and draw inspiration from the Catholic Faith and Catholic educational tradition to prepare our pupils for a life of service to the common good.
Trinity Academy is committed to making a significant contribution to developing educational excellence in South West London by being in the vanguard of rigorous and innovative teaching and learning practice by attending scrupulously to the spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, and physical development of every pupil and by creating an inclusive, safe environment in which pupils grow into independent, self-confident young adults ready to contribute to society and continue along their paths of learning.
Trinity Academy is committed to academic rigor and excellence. We motivate our pupils to aim for the stars, encourage them at every step of their journey through the academy, and re-motivate them if they begin to flag. Our curriculum is designed to ensure a child’s natural appetite for learning can take wing.
Provision for the moral development of all our pupils is built-in right across the curriculum and underpinned by a focussed Values strand that prepares students for life in modern Britain and helps foster Wisdom, Courage, Fairness, and Self-Discipline.
