St. John’s School is an inclusive community of children, staff, parents, governors, friends, and colleagues. Everyone works together to provide the best quality education for all children and to equip them with the confidence to embrace our ever-changing world.
Within the context of Christian belief and practice, we aim to serve the community by providing an education of the highest quality. Faith is very important to us and we endeavor to live out our Christian values of Creativity, Honesty, Resilience, Independence, Supportiveness, Talents, Inclusion, Achievement, and Neighborliness in our everyday lives.
Most of all, it is our children who make St. John’s a special place, and we are proud of all their achievements. We work hard to foster a secure and enjoyable environment that excites, challenges, and motivates each child, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Our school motto of ‘Love to Learn and Learn to Love’ is at the center of everything we do. During their time at St. John’s, we want all our children to develop a real love and thirst for learning which will remain with them for their entire lives.
We believe that an exciting curriculum is essential for children to be inspired in their learning and we work hard to make our curriculum irresistible. Through cross-curricular Contexts for Learning, we ensure that there is a clear purpose and setting for children’s learning and that they will have many memorable experiences during their time at St. John’s.
We work hard to make strong connections between all areas of learning and especially have strong Literacy links into each of our contexts for learning. This is especially important as it is a rule which Jesus gave to all Christians as a guide to how they live their lives. Everyone in the school tries to follow this in all aspects and areas of their lives.
