St Anthony’s School for Girls is an independent Catholic school located in Ivy House, on North End Road, NW11. It opened in 2016 as the sister school to the highly successful St. Anthony’s School for Boys in Hampstead.
St. Anthony’s School for Girls teaches pupils in a Catholic environment and is inclusive and open to other faiths. The school educates girls from ages 4 – 11 and currently has classes open in Reception, Year 1, 2, 3, and 4. Growth will continue organically with classes in Year 5 opening in September 2018. The maximum roll will be 280 pupils.
St. Anthony’s School for Girls welcomes pupils aged four to eleven. Rated by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding in all areas, we provide a safe, nurturing environment for young girls to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
Our school is located in Ivy House, a magnificent three-story building with a beautiful façade, overlooking Golders Hill Park. It is the former home of the prima ballerina, Anna Pavlova, and was also at one time occupied by the painter, JMW Turner.
The building has an area of 12,000 square feet and has undergone a full program of refurbishment to create the very best teaching space, incorporating 14 classrooms, a specialist science room, as well as a multi-purpose hall for dining, assemblies, gymnastics, and other purposes. The addition of a barre and mirror creates the perfect space to uphold the building’s history of dance.

Our curriculum combines the best of traditional teaching methods, with new and innovative approaches to education. All subjects are taught by highly-skilled, passionate teachers who strive to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to pupils of all ages. The success behind our curriculum model lies in our active and hands-on approach to learning. We believe in the development of transferable skills, in particular, skills for learning which will remain with the girls until adulthood. Our girls are taught independence, to take ownership of their learning, to be curious and ask questions, to problem solve, ask probing questions and delve into a new subject by asking ‘what if?’

We share the ethos and values of our sister school, St. Anthony’s School for Boys, and teach these key moral values as part of our religious curriculum and through our day-to-day interactions with pupils.
