St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School is happy and successful, committed to providing the highest quality of education within a strong Catholic context. Our pupils are proud of their school and when they leave here they are confidently able to contribute to society as good and responsible citizens, who are proud of their Catholic faith.
We offer a vibrant, exciting, and inclusive round education. Our dedicated staff inspires and nurtures the children, and instills a life-long love of learning. We welcome parents as partners in their children's education, for it is only through true partnership that we can do the very best for your child.
The values of our Catholic school are rooted in the teaching of Christ, and provide a basis for high standards in our academic aims as well as in our moral life.
Christ’s ministry, as recounted in the Gospels, and the values he promoted through his teachings are fundamental to the life of our school in fulfilling its purpose as a Catholic institution. This is reflected in our Collective Worship, our teaching and learning, and how we treat one another.
At St. Aidan’s we seek to work together with parents, parishes, and the local community to create an environment where we can all grow together, feel valued and develop self-esteem and a sense of responsibility. We aim to be worshipping, celebrating, reconciling school, living, and growing with Christ.
Children at St. Aidan's have the benefit of a broad and balanced curriculum. As well as giving all the necessary attention to the core subjects, we are particularly keen to develop children's interest in Music, Art, P.E., Drama, and Dance. We aim to ensure children receive a rich curriculum by organizing extra-curricular events such as school trips to the theatre and a range of educational and interesting places, and by inviting visiting performers to the school.
The St. Aidan's School Association has become an integral part of the school community, actively fundraising for many years. The monies raised have served to improve equipment and resources to support the school in delivering education for our children, and the facilities in school in general, such as a new changing facility, a suite of Ipads, lighting for school productions, a new server to support the school's ICT infrastructure.
