The holy trinity is a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. We are a school with high expectations and high standards. We have high expectations of the children, whether that is applying themselves to their learning in the classroom, having good manners with everyone they meet, or when taking part in one of the many opportunities outside the classroom. We value perseverance, hard work, and a positive attitude. We instill the qualities that will prepare our children for success here, at secondary school, and well beyond.
As a staff, we have high standards as well. We constantly ask ourselves ‘Would this be outstanding for my child?’ We strive to say ‘Yes to this question in everything we do. We are a Church school, with a family atmosphere. It is a school where every child is known as an individual and where our Governing Body and supportive parents play a central role in helping us to achieve what we want for our children an outstanding education.
At Holy Trinity, we are determined not only to ensure that every child receives what is their fundamental right: a good education, but the right education for that child. We passionately believe that every child deserves an education that is broad, rich, and deep. Our curriculum is underpinned by the framework of concepts and skills identified in the Rights Respecting Schools program.
These concepts and skills are explored and developed through the themes that make up the curriculum. The curriculum is organized around half-termly themes. By teaching the core subjects of English and Science within the context of these themes, we create a coherent, stimulating, and engaging curriculum.
Non-core subjects including Art and Design, Design Technology, Geography, History, and Computing are also taught within the themes, providing context and encouraging deeper learning and understanding.
