Our aim quite simply is “To prepare our students to reach their full potential”. These are the values that are celebrated and upheld across the academy so that students of all ages and abilities can make exceptional progress academically, socially, and personally. It is the strength of these core values that has led students to make an excellent and smooth transition from their much loved primary schools so they achieve excellent GCSE and A-Level results. This enables them to make the transition to top universities and colleges and to secure excellent professional careers in fields such as Medicine, Finance, Law, Teaching, and Business. Many have achieved sporting success well beyond the school environment and others have found true excellence in performing and the visual arts.

Our outstanding curriculum offers an exciting, rich, diverse, and broad course of study, to help develop students’ skills for all aspects of learning. On several occasions throughout the year, the timetable is suspended to allow students to experience ‘deep learning in a range of subjects.
At Key Stage 3, pupils study a broad and balanced core curriculum. In year 9 pupils are offered ‘Early options’ where they select one creative subject to study through to Key Stage 4. At Key Stage 4, all pupils study a core curriculum alongside their option choices that are decided based on their progress at Key Stage 3 and their interests. The tutorial program continues every week within tutor groups.
Religious Education is compulsory throughout the school. The approach used in the study of R.E. at Claremont High School Academy emphasizes the spiritual and sacred nature of all faith traditions and considers in breadth the major world religions to try to give students a better understanding of religion. All students study R.E. to GCSE level and a large number go on to study it at A-level.
