Uplands aims to provide an excellent international education for students of all nationalities in a challenging multi-cultural environment. We accept students into our Primary and Secondary schools and encourage all types of inquiries, before actually visiting the school. We will discuss entry into specific year groups on an individual basis during our admissions interview. Our Sixth Form accepts students into year 12 onto either the full IBDP or IB Courses. This can also be discussed at the interview.
The IB Learner Profile is an important part of school life, as well as our school motto “Respect for self – Respect for others”. The ability to communicate, think, research, and reflect is further enhanced through our impressive range of activities, specialisms, expeditions, and community service projects. Access to high-performing sports teams, music ensembles, productions, art exhibitions, and filmmaking are all available at Uplands with further opportunities always on the horizon. Expeditions (Duke of Edinburgh Award) are commonplace and service opportunities are frequently on offer to our learners.

The International School of Penang (Uplands) is a not-for-profit, co-educational and non-denominational day and boarding school for students aged between 4 – 18 years old.
