Al-Ru'ya Bilingual School was founded in 1996, got accredited by the CIS in July 2008, uses Arabic and English as teaching languages. The subjects that are taught in English are the English Language Art, Math, Science, Information Technology and Arts & Crafts.
The subjects that are taught in Arabic are the Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, and the specially designed Al Ru'ya Pastoral Program. The academic program leads to the High School Diploma and focuses on preparing students for the colleges and the universities of Kuwait, the Arab world, the USA, and Europe.
The teaching staff is qualified and experienced Muslim teachers from a variety of Arab countries, the USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and the Far East. Students are taught within a learning environment which is based on the Arabic/Islamic culture, heritage, and traditions.
RBS enrollment in 2015/2016 reached 2239 students. The students are placed in a segregated campus, from grade 1 to 12. The campus is comprised of 91 classrooms and specialized areas science labs, computer labs, and Art and Craft galleries. The two buildings share one large Media Center, four gyms, two swimming pools and 5 playgrounds, and a purpose-built theatre. The school year runs from September to June. The year is divided into two semesters with the annual Spring holiday (late January/early February) in between.

Al-Ru'ya Bilingual School (RBS) prepares students to acquire the shared Islamic and universal ethical values, and the intellectual qualities necessary to achieve their positive, creative, and productive potential through clearly set objectives and priorities, enabling them to carry out their responsibilities towards self, family, society, and the world with an international vision.
Students develop respect and tolerance for other cultures. RBS aims to develop the student as an individual and as a whole person. The school offers the students an educational program designed to meet their intellectual, social, ethical, emotional, and physical needs through all stages of development by providing a stimulating learning and safe environment for students, staff, and parents.
RBS develops in students a sense of responsibility toward themselves, others, and their environment. RBS prepares students to be responsible and contributing citizens of the future through the encouragement of students to participate in school life, to be involved in local community service, and to show an awareness of global concerns.
