    Sakkara Language School was founded in 1994 to cater to an Egyptian and foreign community desiring a high-quality education with an emphasis on academic excellence and language acquisition. The primary goals of SIS are to foster knowledge in addition to developing personal, social, and creative skills. The school offers a complete curriculum from Nursery through to Secondary. Dedicated and highly qualified staff work together in a family atmosphere to ensure that each child progresses to his/her full potential as they advance through the academic stages.
    SAKKARA Language School in Maadi is proud to present to its students the International British IGCSE system of Education. The candidate is expected to complete the British IGCSE system in three years Right after he/she is done with her / his third year preparatory or its equivalent from any other educational system.
    All students have the right to learn without being disrupted by others. No student has the right to interfere with any other student’s learning or staff member’s teaching program. The school has established the following affirmations: Students' right to learn Teachers' right to teach Everyones right to be safe The school utilizes Restorative Practices (explained further in our "Guidance' page) to assist in managing student behavior. It involves staff being trained in holding conversations which helps rebuild relationships with students when there is a breakdown in the learning process in the classroom. The process involves an afterschool conversation between staff and the students involved. It can also involve meetings with parents. However, for serious behaviors which challenge our school affirmations (e.g. physical and emotional violence, theft, drugs, verbal abuse of staff, and repeated and deliberate disobedience) we have a separate and immediate response. We utilize the services of our social services consultant in dealing with these serious behaviors.
    Our program is a behavior support program that focuses on four major areas within the school: school-wide behavior out of class behavior in-class and individual behavior management. We have clearly defined expected behaviors which are based on the school values of Respect, Achieve, and Participation (RAP). We are establishing procedures for teaching & practicing these behaviors and will be rewarding appropriate behavior. The program works in conjunction with our Restorative Practices processes.
    SLS provides a quality learning environment that challenges all students to achieve their personal best and develop a positive vision for their future. All staff has the proper training to plan, observe and assess our students' skills. Learning inside our facilities with the resources we have encourages the students to be creative and use brainstorming techniques for solving problems. SLS commits to excellence and aims to be an excellent school.
    We provide quality educational opportunities for all of our students. We actively encourage all students to achieve the best they can. We seek to promote within our students a positive vision for their future and we help our students become balanced and successful citizens. Our committed staff is proud of the wide range of programs we offer to cater to our students. Academic success is the most important goal for all students at our school. We have a range of programs designed to meet this objective. The curriculum at SLS is designed to help every student reach their potential and as a result, we have several pathways for students to succeed. Programs include Integrated Programmes and learning assistance.
    SLS follows domestic and international guidelines. The school has adopted content standards and assessments. These assessments allow teachers, students, and parents to see where individuals are in reaching and/or exceeding domestic and international Standards. The measures will determine whether the student has successfully learned grade-level standards. The results of these measures will enable teachers to teach to your child's individual needs and strengths.
