For centuries, the great explorers who sailed bravely into the unknown depended on the unfailing constancy of the north star to set their bearings and guide them on their way. With the sure guidance of the north star, early explorers navigated the globe with a measure of security and confidence. Because we see each child as a budding young explorer with the same need for some telltale order in the world, and because we see ourselves as ever-present guides ensuring their success, we have chosen the north star as our symbol.

In keeping with our school name's meaning, the school chose Explorers as the right fit to show our school spirit.
