Waverley Christian College

Waverley Christian College seeks to offer students a quality Christian education experience. Our academic standards, facilities, and Christian values help ensure that students attending the College will experience academic success and a spiritual, social, emotional, and physical blessing. A high level of pastoral care is provided for all students.
The College offers its students an excellent learning environment, provided by highly dedicated and caring staff. It is known for its VCE students' academic performance - the majority of whom gain entry each year into the university programs of their choice. Furthermore, students who will not be attending university are provided with alternative pathways, including VCAL and VET options.
The curriculum at Waverley Christian College is taught from a Biblical perspective, and Christian values provide the foundation for all aspects of the College program. All staff members are committed to the College's Christian ethos in life and practice, and students are encouraged in the development of their faith, service to the community, and respect and compassion for others.
Waverley Christian College provides Christian education to a generation of young people that will enable them to impact the community, our nation, and the world for the Lord Jesus Christ. The College is committed to providing Christian families with the opportunity to have their children educated from a Christ-centered, Biblical perspective and prepare young people for effective ministry and service within society.
Founded in 1978, the College relocated to its present site in Wantirna South in 1989. The College has experienced steady growth over this time with around 1300 students, with approximately 650 children enrolled in the Kindergarten and the Primary School and 650 students enrolled in the Secondary School.
In 2012, the College commenced operations at a new campus in Narre Warren South, with approximately 150 students, initially offering classes from Prep to Year 7. Enrolments have grown to around 650 in 2017, with the Secondary School extending to Year 12. The College is a ministry of CityLife Church, a pentecostal style local church with a multi-site congregation of around ten thousand. Waverley Christian College aims to provide Christian families with the opportunity to have their children educated from a Christ-centred, Biblical perspective that prepares them for effective service within society.
According to Jesus Christ, the essential things in this life is our loving God and loving others. These are the foundational values of WCC and govern all that we seek to be and do. WCC endeavors to provide an inspiring learning environment that will encourage each student to achieve their best. We recognize that this means different things for different children.
Students need to be provided with diverse, challenging, and rich educational experiences within a supportive framework. Our students' academic, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical well-being is of primary importance to us. The College values the parent community's support and seeks to work with families to reinforce Biblical values and conduct standards.
