St John'sJohn's Mission Statement is that our school community is committed to providing quality education, which endeavors to prepare children for the future in a caring Christian environment.  St John'sJohn's Lutheran School is a school community committed to providing quality education while endeavoring to prepare children for the future in a caring, supportive Christian environment. We strive to provide a positive approach to education that will equip children for the future and lay a foundation for lifelong learning.
Presently, we offer Primary classes from Prep to Year 6. In 2014 we expanded into a Junior Secondary program7*/, and we now offer Years 7, 8, and 9 in a designated secondary precinct.
Our academic guidelines are based on the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority'sAuthority's Australian National Curriculum documents. In contrast, the Bible and the Lutheran Confessions provide the theological foundation for our worship and devotional program. A blend of traditional and current educational practices provide a balanced framework for instruction and learning.
Our Restorative Practices approach to relationships acknowledges that healthy relationships are vital for our lives, learning, and school community. Our aim is for students to develop a sense of responsibility for their behavior and understand how they treat others has consequences that can either enhance or harm relationships.
At St John'sJohn's, we have implemented the Australian National Curriculum for all of the Key Learning Areas. As some curriculum areas are reviewed and updated, St John'sJohn's staff ensure these are considered and undertaken. Our staff regularly undertake various professional development opportunities, locally, interstate, and internationally to ensure they stay abreast of the latest educational practices. Our Christian Studies program is based on the Lutheran Schools Christian Studies Curriculum Framework (CSCF) developed by Lutheran Education Australia. Also, our experienced staff runs individualised, group support, and extension programs.
