Noosa Christian College, Cooroy, officially commenced operation on January 28, 2003, with 37 students. Prep-Year 6 were temporarily held in the rooms adjoining Cooroy Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church. Mr. Ross Reid – previously a Director of School Marketing and Development for Adventist Schools Australia (ASA) and formerly Principal of Edinburgh College in Victoria was appointed to open and operate the school. The school's founding staff also included Teachers Jeanette Martin, Sonia Goding, Trevor Brown, Nathan Hill, together with office support from Susan Muir and Kaylene Irvine.
