Our students are encouraged to think about their place in the world, hear the Christian message, and form a personal response to the issues that face them to make a difference to society. There is a culture of high expectations within the College that stimulates their young minds to aim for a personal best in all they do while always being aware of them. MVAC is a caring, happy school where each child is valued, nurtured, and extended.
Choosing a school for your child is an essential first step on the journey to success. At MVAC, we believe that there is no substitute for understanding a child’s strengths, interests, and needs and using that knowledge to approach them as an individual. Education is about giving every student the chance to let their light shine. Every child has unique talents, and MVAC aims to nurture that which makes a child special.
Manning Valley Anglican College serves the next generation of students from Taree, Wingham, Forster-Tuncurry, and beyond, seeking to develop a life-long love of learning within them. We believe that youth literacy and attitude will ultimately enable students to pursue any path they choose. Our many goals are summarised in our College’s mission statement is to foster learning excellence in a Christian environment.
Education is as much about the journey as it is the destination. Learning takes many forms both in and out of the classroom. In seeking to achieve learning excellence, we teach students to accept responsibility for their learning, work cooperatively, set goals, and take the initiative. Following the Anglican tradition and the Christian ethos, we encourage students to explore their faith in the context of the modern world and demonstrate Christian values such as honesty, compassion, and respect.
Students who graduate from Manning Valley Anglican College have been nurtured to become authentic and capable young Australians. The latter can be confident in their abilities and their identities as they continue their learning journey.
