Avondale School

At the Avondale Early Learning Centre, these three words form our programs' foundation. We seek to implement the Australian National Early Years Learning Framework and encourage our little learners: to develop ownership, citizenship, interdependence, shared experiences, and respect. To be themselves, celebrate individuality, create, experiment. To build identity, confidence, independence, and growth.
Work experience is part of Avondale School's Year 10 PDHPE program, with students exposed to the world of work, often for the first time. After a term spent learning about careers and considering life after school, Year 10 students participate in a one-week Work Experience placement in Term 2, where each student has the prospect of learning firsthand about a chosen occupation or industry. Work Experience is an opportunity to develop skills and networks and decide what you would like to do with your future.
