Job Description
Are you a customer-obsessed builder with a passion for helping Energy customers achieve their full potential with Generative and Agentic AI? Do you have the business savvy, AI background, and pipeline-building skills necessary to help position AWS as the AI platform of choice? Do you love building new strategic and data-driven businesses from the ground up? Join the Energy AI Acceleration team as a AI Specialist Business Developer.
This position is part of a newly formed team dedicated to driving AI adoption across AWS's Energy & Utilities customers. You will own AI pipeline creation across five strategic motions: AI-assisted Software Development (Claude Code, Codex, Kiro), Agentic AI platforms (Amazon Bedrock AgentCore), Amazon Quick as an enterprise productivity platform, enterprise AI workload migration, and AI for Cybersecurity. You will collaborate with specialist architects and cross-functional teams to build and scale pipeline across these motions for Energy customers.
You will identify and qualify AI opportunities across your assigned Energy accounts, build and execute account-level pipeline generation plans, work with customers to understand use cases and map them to the right AI motion, develop joint GTM strategies with service teams, create field enablement content, and drive industry thought-leadership. You will work closely with specialist architects, account teams, partners, and service teams to move opportunities from identification through proof-of-concept to production deployment and revenue.
Key job responsibilities
• Own AI pipeline creation across all five motions for Energy customers - identify, qualify, and advance opportunities from $0 to closed revenue.
• Build and execute account-level AI adoption strategies that map customer business problems to the right AWS AI motion.
• Lead cross-functional GTM initiatives across sales, marketing, partner, product, and professional services teams to drive AI adoption in the Energy vertical.
• Develop and deliver compelling business cases, ROI analyses, and value propositions tailored to Energy CIOs, CTOs, and CDOs.
• Create sales plays, field enablement materials, and repeatable GTM playbooks for each AI motion.
• Bring market signals and customer feedback back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
• Own reporting and planning cadences - pipeline metrics, win rates, revenue attainment, and adoption KPIs.
• Represent AWS at Energy industry events, conferences, and customer executive briefings.
