Shape your future with confidence

At EY, you’ll have the opportunity to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of yourself. We’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better.

Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to support financial compliance, governance and audit-readiness activities across multiple countries and entities.

The role will focus on preparing and validating balance sheet reconciliations, coordinating statutory and local content audit requirements, and maintaining complete, accurate and well-structured compliance documentation.

You will work closely with cluster finance leads, central process teams, auditors and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure financial information is accurate, transparent and supported by appropriate documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is detail-oriented, organized and interested in developing experience across multi-country finance operations, statutory audits, local content requirements and financial governance.

Your key responsibilities

Balance sheet reconciliation

  • Prepare and validate monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned entities and cluster countries.
  • Review reconciliations for completeness, accuracy and adequate supporting evidence.
  • Investigate unreconciled, aged or unusual balance sheet items, working with cluster leads and central process teams to support timely resolution.
  • Maintain a structured tracker of outstanding reconciliation items and follow up with relevant stakeholders until closure.
  • Support improvements to reconciliation templates, supporting documentation and review processes.
  • Help standardize balance sheet reconciliation practices across different entities and jurisdictions.

Statutory audit support

  • Prepare audit-ready schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for external statutory audits.
  • Coordinate the collection of required financial and operational information from cross-functional and in-country teams.
  • Maintain a centralized audit documentation repository with appropriate organization, version control and traceability.
  • Track audit requests, documentation requirements and submission timelines.
  • Ensure information provided to auditors is complete, accurate and submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Support the remediation of audit findings and maintain follow-up logs to monitor outstanding actions.

Local content audit support

  • Prepare and collate documentation required for local content audits and certification processes, including UAE ICV, Qatar ICV, Saudi local content reporting and other country-specific frameworks.
  • Gather, validate and consolidate local content data, including procurement spend, supplier information, national workforce metrics and capability-building initiatives.
  • Ensure documentation is aligned with approved methodologies and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Talent, Operations, Finance and other relevant teams to obtain complete and accurate supporting information.
  • Support responses to local content auditors, certification bodies and relevant government agencies.
  • Maintain clear records of submitted information, supporting evidence and outstanding requirements.

Compliance documentation and governance

  • Maintain structured and standardized compliance folders covering balance sheet reconciliations, statutory audit support and local content documentation.
  • Support the enhancement of documentation standards, templates and operating procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity, version control, consistency and traceability across financial and compliance submissions.
  • Support internal control testing, compliance reviews and ad-hoc financial assessments.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and harmonization of compliance processes across the cluster.
  • Identify recurring documentation or control gaps and support practical improvements to address them.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
  • Two to five years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, controls or compliance.
  • A sound understanding of accounting fundamentals, with knowledge of IFRS preferred.
  • Practical experience preparing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to organize, validate and analyze financial data.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with internal controls, financial compliance requirements and documentation management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate outstanding or unusual financial items.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional and cross-border teams.
  • A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and personal accountability.
  • A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders informed.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working within a shared service centre, multinational organization or multi-country finance environment.
  • Previous exposure to statutory audits, external auditors or audit request management.
  • Familiarity with local content compliance or certification frameworks, including UAE ICV, Qatar ICV or Saudi local content reporting.
  • Experience maintaining audit repositories, compliance trackers and documentation libraries.
  • Exposure to process improvement, standardization or automation initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating with Procurement, Talent, Operations and other non-finance functions.

What we look for

We are looking for someone who combines solid accounting knowledge with strong organization, discipline and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with financial data, supporting evidence and documentation across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will be able to manage competing priorities, follow up consistently with stakeholders and maintain high standards of accuracy and transparency.

You should also demonstrate a continuous-improvement mindset and an interest in strengthening financial governance, audit readiness and documentation standards across the organization.

Measures of success

  • Accurate and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Timely closure of outstanding, aged and unreconciled balance sheet items.
  • High-quality and timely delivery of statutory audit support documentation.
  • Complete, accurate and well-supported local content audit submissions.
  • Effective tracking and remediation of audit findings and compliance exceptions.
  • Strong documentation governance, including version control and traceability.
  • Continued improvement and standardization of compliance processes across the cluster.

What we offer you

At EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences. We’ll empower you in a flexible environment and fuel you and your extraordinary talents in a diverse and inclusive culture of globally connected teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with finance and business stakeholders across different countries, expand your knowledge of financial governance and compliance, and contribute to improving processes that support accuracy, transparency and trust.
