Purpose of the role

Has accountability and the responsibility for chartering activities of fixing  non-Maersk owned vessels . And  identifying and contributing to process

improvement and execution of the segment strategy.

Responsible

•Procures off-fleet services for breakbulk cargo via Ocean with responsibility for quality control and management of the service/asset.

•Is active in fixing vessels, identifying and contributing to process improvement and execution of the segment strategy.

•Develops and maintains positive and constructive relationships with existing and potential vendors

•Aids in finding and developing new business relationships and opportunities by proactive interaction with vendors/brokers

•Recommends and executes commercial strategies for the vendor category.

•Explains and promotes the chosen deployment strategy to the team, ensuring alignment of geographical, period and customer prioritizations

•Oversees the operational service delivery and operations teams to ensure alignment with overall deployment strategy

•May lead small projects or contributes/influence projects of moderate size and scope through substantial contributions to project framing,

•Provides strategic and market view/coverage input

•Fixing vessels, identifying and contributing to process improvement and execution of the segment strategy.

•QHSE requirements embedded in procurement and deployment

•Drive business growth and market share through engagement with vendors/brokers.
