Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Learning Manager to own the Learning & Development (L&D) strategy across Amazon's Brazil sites. In this role you lead the programs and the teams that build the capability of our associates, trainers, and operations leaders, and you turn operational problems into learning solutions that improve site performance in ways you can measure.

You set the L&D strategy for the region and lead the teams that deliver it. You define the metrics, design the long-term roadmap, and decide which programs move forward and in what order, starting from the operational problems the business needs to solve. You manage a team of learning professionals, including individual contributors and, where applicable, other managers across multiple sites. You are accountable for hiring, onboarding, calibration, and performance management within the region.

You will not do this alone. You are part of a broader LATAM L&D organization. You share best practices, co-develop cross-market programs, and calibrate standards across the region. You represent Brazil L&D to senior leadership, present decisions and results to leaders several levels above you, and influence stakeholders across Operations, Safety, HR, and Process Engineering.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and execute the L&D strategy for Brazil sites within the broader LATAM framework, and define the long-term vision and roadmap.
- Define and track the metrics that measure team progress, the associate learning experience, training effectiveness, and impact on operational results, including Level 3 and Level 4 learning-transfer measures.
- Turn operational problems into scalable learning solutions, and partner with site and regional leadership to prioritize what moves forward.
- Lead and develop a multi-site team of learning managers, trainers, and specialists. Hire strong talent, run onboarding and calibration, and manage both high and low performance.
- Manage launch readiness for Learning at new sites and processes, and run delivery-quality audits with the corrective actions that follow.
- Build reporting that shows the effectiveness of training and supports process improvement and business reviews (WBR, MBR, QBR).
- Partner with the Mexico-based LATAM L&D team to share best practices, align standards, and co-lead cross-market work.
- Coach and influence operations leaders at every level on their role in developing their people.
- Present decisions and results clearly, in writing and in person, to leadership up to three levels above.

A day in the life
A typical day includes reviewing learning and operational metrics, leading business reviews, and meeting with site leadership to drive improvements across Brazil sites. You coach your managers and trainers, audit training quality, and keep onboarding and trainer programs consistent across locations. Regular touchpoints with your LATAM colleagues in Mexico keep the work aligned across the region. The role involves travel between sites, and you will spend a good part of your time problem-solving with stakeholders to connect learning to performance.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or above
- Experience managing people including development, hiring, performance management, and leading teams dispersed across various regions
- Experience with Learning & Development and course facilitation or an equivalent professional qualification, or experience focused on Adult Learning Theory, including 1) virtual training facilitation and dealing with remote teams, and 2) delivering Soft Skills, Technology Skills and/or Technical or other Systems training
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Experience defining and implementing process-improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Professional fluency in Portuguese and English, spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience leading L&D strategy across sites or regions.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and learning analytics.
- Experience working across cultures and with distributed teams in more than one country.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and adapting quickly to changing priorities and processes.
- Ability to influence leaders at every level to own their role in developing their people.
- L&D certifications and/or an MBA.
- Familiarity with common AI tools and how to apply them to learning.
