Operations Manager — Sub-Same Day Delivery Managed end-to-end operations at a last-mile delivery station, overseeing inbound, sort, and dispatch processes. Led a team of 50–100+ associates across multiple shifts, driving performance in delivery quality, cost efficiency, and safety. Owned key operational metrics including DPMO, route efficiency, and on-time delivery rates. Partnered cross-functionally with planning, transportation, and workforce management to meet daily volume targets and SLA commitments.

Operational Leadership

Oversee daily end-to-end delivery station operations including inbound, sort, stage, and dispatch across multiple shifts
Manage throughput and capacity planning to meet daily volume targets and CPT (Critical Pull Time) commitments
Drive on-time delivery performance, ensuring SLA adherence for sub-same-day and same-day delivery promises
Team Management

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 50–100+ associates, including direct oversight of L4/L5 Area Managers
Own staffing plans, scheduling, and labor allocation to optimize headcount against forecasted volume
Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, and drive associate engagement and retention
Safety & Compliance

Maintain a culture of safety by enforcing OSHA standards, Amazon WHS policies, and site-specific safety protocols
Lead daily safety stand-ups, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and last-mile delivery safety requirements
Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
Drive cost-per-package reduction through efficiency gains in sort rates, route density, and labor productivity
Lead ACES audits and benchmarking initiatives to elevate site performance against regional standards
Metrics & Performance Management

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
