Roles & Responsibilities
About the role
You will lead the design, build, and support of Workday integrations and advanced reporting across Core HCM, Time/Absence, Benefits, US Payroll (PECI), and Recruiting/Talent for a high-impact HRIT program. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, TA, InfoSec, and Enterprise Engineering to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable integrations.
•Architect, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and PECI for US payroll provider interfaces (inbound/outbound, schedules, retries, monitoring).
•Own end-to-end data flows for Core HCM, Time Off/Absence, and Benefits, including eligibility, enrollment, and life-event interfaces.
•Build Recruiting/Talent integrations and reporting assets (RaaS, custom reports, calculated fields) enabling analytics and downstream systems.
•Design robust error handling, alerting, and run controls; triage incidents and drive root-cause fixes across tenants and environments.
•Implement secure transport and data protection (SFTP/MFT, certificates, encryption, token-based auth) aligned with HR data privacy and compliance.
•Optimize Workday reporting: matrix/composite reports, complex calculated fields, report performance tuning, and data quality checks.
•Collaborate on SDLC best practices (version control, peer reviews, CI/CD, unit/integration testing) and change management from sandbox to production.
•Partner with HRIT product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables; provide clear documentation and handoffs to operations.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
•8+ years of Workday integration experience, including 3+ years with Workday Studio and 2+ years with PECI for US payroll.
•Hands-on expertise with Core Connectors, EIB, XSLT/XML, JSON/REST, SOAP, SFTP, and certificate management.
•Advanced reporting skills: Report Writer, RaaS, complex calculated fields, matrix/composite reporting, and security-aware data design.
•Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes, tenant management, and environment promotion strategies.
•Proven track record building high-availability integrations with robust monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks.
•Excellent collaboration and communication skills working cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent teams.
•Bachelor’s degree in Co mputer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $132,000 a year
