CNS - RISK - PROCESS & CONTROLS :

EY Consulting is made up of three sub-service lines: Business Consulting (including Performance Improvement and Risk Consulting), Technology Consulting and People Advisory Services. 

We help our clients in identifying and managing the interplay between upside and downside risk in order to make the long-term decisions to prevent risk and impact on their organization's ability to meet its future business strategy and objectives. The 3 key fields of play are :

Enterprise Risk - helps clients identify and address key risk areas, while building the agility to respond quickly. The areas of focus include Enterprise risk and resilience, Internal audit, Compliance and Internal controls

Technology Risk - helps clients to achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts to protect their business performance and by providing trusted communications on internal control and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders. EY teams accomplish this by assessing the technology risks that are introduced to businesses.

Financial Services Risk - helps clients in the financial sector to identify, manage and monitor the risks in their business. It is done through a transformative and agile approach including process and procedures, risk, data modeling and analytics, reporting to stakeholders and third parties, business requirements (for software selection and IT implementation), analysis of assets and liabilities, and capital and liquidity management.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• We are building a differentiated Process Advisory and Data Analytics capability within EY India's Risk Consulting practice. This role sits at the intersection of internal audit, enterprise controls, SAP data architecture and advanced analytics — and is designed for someone who can translate complex ERP data into measurable business outcomes using process mining and process intelligence platforms. You will not be a tool operator. You will be the person who understands why a process is broken, which SAP tables hold the evidence, how to build the data model that proves it, and what the value case looks like for the CXO. If you come from a strong internal audit and controls background with deep SAP knowledge and analytical thinking, this role is designed for you — even if you have never used a process mining platform before. We will train you on the tools (Celonis, SAP Signavio, ARIS). What we cannot train is business judgment, data intuition and the ability to see value where others see transactions. That is what we are hiring for. What You Will Do
• Lead the advisory and analytics layer on process mining engagements — defining what to mine, why it matters, and what the business impact is before a single dashboard is built
• Design and own the data model for process mining implementations: – Identify the right SAP tables (BKPF, BSEG, VBAK, VBAP, EKKO, EKPO, MSEG, MKPF, CDHDR, etc.) and their joins for O2C, P2P, R2R, Inventory and Manufacturing processes – Define event log structures, case IDs, activity mappings and timestamp logic from raw ERP data – Handle data quality issues, edge cases and multi-system landscapes at enterprise scale (50+ table data models)
• Build value cases and outcome frameworks for Tier-1 use cases — DSO reduction, maverick spend identification, rework elimination, inventory turns, duplicate payment detection
• Lead conformance and variant analysis — interpreting mined process flows against designed processes, identifying root causes, and translating findings into executive-ready narratives
• Work directly with CXOs and GCC leadership to present findings, drive action and own the value realisation story
• Support pre-sales and business development — solution design, scoping, pricing, POC delivery and proposal writing for mining engagements
• Mentor and develop junior consultants on SAP data architecture, controls logic and analytical thinking What You Bring (Must-Have)
• CA / CPA / CIA / CFE qualification is strongly preferred. MBA with 6+ years in internal audit, controls advisory or financial process consulting will also be considered. This is a practitioner role — we need people who have done the work, not managed it from a distance
• 6–12 years of experience in internal audit, enterprise controls, risk advisory or financial process consulting — Big 4 or strong mid-tier background preferred
• Deep working knowledge of SAP ERP tables and data structures — you should be able to explain the relationship between BKPF/BSEG, VBAK/VBAP/LIKP/VBRK, EKKO/EKPO/EBAN without looking it up
• Experience with IFC/ICFR design and testing, SOX compliance, or controls-based audit engagements — you understand what a control gap looks like and what it costs
• Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large datasets (millions of records)
• Data and analytics orientation — experience with data extraction, transformation, visualisation and interpretation (tools could be Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel advanced analytics, or similar)
• Ability to connect data findings to business outcomes — not just 'what happened' but 'what it costs and what to do about it'
• Consulting-grade communication — you can present to a CFO, write a findings report, and lead a client workshop What Would Be a Bonus (Good-to-Have)
• Exposure to process mining platforms (Celonis, SAP Signavio Process Intelligence, UiPath Process Mining) — but genuinely not required
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation projects
• Knowledge of BPMN process modelling or process documentation
• Experience working in or with Global Capability Centres (GCCs)
• Familiarity with Celonis PQL, SAP ABAP, or data engineering concepts (event logs, ETL pipelines)
• Prior Big 4 or management consulting experience Why This Role
