Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

· Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and system internals.

· Strong experience with Perl scripting for automation and system administration tasks.

· Experience with Kerberos authentication and related security frameworks.

· Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and system diagnostics tools.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix/Linux System Programmer with strong expertise in C programming, Perl scripting, and Unix/Linux system and network programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting low-level system applications, network services, and security-focused solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, maintain, and optimize system-level applications on Unix/Linux platforms using C.

· Design and implement network programming solutions utilizing sockets, IPC, and other communication protocols.

· Create and maintain automation scripts and system utilities using Perl.

· Analyze and troubleshoot operating system, application, and network-related issues.

· Implement secure coding practices and promote defensive programming methodologies. 

· Support authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Kerberos integration. 

· Monitor system performance and recommend tuning and optimization improvements. 

· Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability and security. 

· Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities. 

· Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell). 

· Exposure to multi-threaded and concurrent programming. 

· Knowledge of Linux security controls and identity management solutions. 

· Experience in enterprise, banking, or financial services environments. 

· Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 a year
