Tax Manager, Withholding Tax - Hyderabad | Amazon Job

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Withholding Tax team in our India office.

As a member of the Withholding Tax team, the Tax Manager will own the end-to-end process from determination, compliance and reporting of withholding tax. The Tax Manager will support the global tax, business and other stakeholder teams on various projects and deliverables. A highly organized self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills will be successful on this team.

Key job responsibilities

Advise and support on withholding tax considerations for new projects and business lines.

Manage the withholding tax compliance process including payments and filings

Manage systems for regular review of financial activity for withholding tax assessment

Manage statutory, tax and revenue audit requests in relation to withholding tax

Manage vendor support requests in relation to withholding tax compliance and reconciliations

Lead automation and tech initiatives for withholding tax

Assist with tax controversy efforts by gathering and organizing supporting documentation of withholding tax positions and filings

Basic Qualifications:

- 7+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department

Preferred Qualifications:

- CPA
- Experience managing a team
