Andrews Osborne Academy

Our inspiring, prestigious campus stretches across 300 acres in picturesque Willoughby, Ohio. Located approximately 20 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio, our campus houses our Pre-K through 12th-grade classrooms and our boarding facilities, observatory, and Indoor Athletic Center.
The campus is within walking distance to historic Downtown Willoughby which offers an eclectic variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. Our location is truly remarkable: close to the excitement and intellectual vibrancy of metropolitan areas, yet removed enough to create a safe, reflective, and inspirational atmosphere where growing students thrive.
The resources available to our students are among the best in the world. When you step inside our engaging classrooms or walk the peaceful grounds alongside our state of the art buildings, you will know you are on the campus of one of the best boarding schools in the nation. That is a feeling we have integrated into every aspect of Andrews Osborne Academy, and part of the reason why our students are fully prepared for a successful college experience and life in general.
We invite you to walk our expansive grounds, explore our innovative classrooms, and experience the AOA community. If you are unable to visit our campus in person, we invite you to discover it online with our virtual tour. Click below to begin your journey today!
Today, Andrews Osborne Academy remains the only private, independent, co-ed college preparatory day and boarding school for pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in Lake County, Ohio. AOA continues more reliable than ever as we add to the rich heritage of the School. We strive to honor our past and follow our mission of preparing students for higher education by empowering them to be successful leaders, committed to serving in a global community.
The things that change are not nearly as important as the things that stay the same. Our commitment to the promise of every student remains…. Just as Wallace and Margaret Andrews and Jerry Osborne would have wanted.
AOA is an extraordinary school, known throughout the region for offering a community built upon deep and meaningful relationships between and among teachers, students, families, and staff, and for developing a superlative educational paradigm. That paradigm is invested in two deeply held beliefs - that students need to think critically AND creatively, and, that knowledge is deepened through plurality. An AOA education empowers students to develop into empathic and caring global citizens capable of leading the way into a dynamic future.
Andrews Osborne Academy prepares students for higher education and empowers them to be successful leaders committed to serving in an international community. Andrews Osborne Academy admits students of any race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. It does not discriminate based on race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
