Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, founded in 1858, is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory day and boarding school for young women grades 9 through 12. Woodlands Academy is a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, which spans 41 countries and 22 schools in the U.S. and Canada. Linked philosophically and technologically, the network provides educational resources and collaborative opportunities for students and faculty.

As a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools in the United States, Woodlands Academy commits itself to educate to our five goals: personal and active faith in God, deep respect for intellectual values, a social awareness which impels to action, the building of community as a Christian value, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.
The benefits of a girl's girls' school do not come from separating girls from the boys but from a girl's girls' school's ability to focus entirely on girls' education, development, and well-being. At Woodlands, girls learn experientially that they have no limits. They are the president of student government, captains of sports teams, editors of publications, president of robotics, leading actress in the spring musical, also held every other leadership position in the school.
