At Chapel Field, our mission is to partner with parents to cultivate a joyful community of students who love the truth, pursue wisdom and virtue, and live for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Chapel Field was founded in 1986 as a Christian College Preparatory High School. Our 100-acre campus is nestled in the rolling hills of the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York State, in the heart of the world’s top academic and cultural establishments: one hour from New York City, near Harvard, Yale, and Princeton Universities, and close to the United States Military Academy at West Point. The school now goes from Pre-K to twelfth grade.
Chapel Field is accredited by the National Association of Private Schools and incorporated under the University of the State of New York. Several athletic leagues and music associations, Chapel Field, have been recognized numerous times for outstanding performances in athletics and music. Athletic teams hold seven New York State Championships. Under the direction of nationally renowned Eric Parks, the school’s concert band, jazz band, and orchestra are many awards. The school offers many cultural opportunities and experiences ranging from Boston to New York City and Washington, D.C.
Chapel Field’s flexible Pre K is located in our elementary building. The students engage in interactive activities, promoting social and cognitive development, and hands-on projects to reinforce letters and sounds while working on fine motor skills. Bible, science, music, and crafts are incorporated in the weekly lessons, preparing students to begin Kindergarten. Full or half-day schedules are available days offered to vary by year. Our office can answer any questions about our current schedule.
In addition to the use of faith-based Abeka Book and Purposeful Design texts for reading, English, math, history, penmanship, and science, our curriculum includes Bible, foreign languages, art, music, physical education, and technology. Our small class sizes and supportive faculty make for an ideal learning environment in which students are encouraged in healthy competition and school spirit. Hands-on activities, chapel, recess, community service, and field trips contribute to developing well-rounded students.
Chapel Field is a Christian school committed to helping our students establish the necessary foundation for a lifetime of learning. With the use of time-tested techniques, a rich and demanding schedule, and a committed faculty, our students incrementally master the building blocks of more classical and hands-on education. As a Christian school, we encourage our students to view every aspect of their education and lives as a means to glorify God.
Chapel Field Middle School houses grades 6-8 and is located on our South Campus along with our High School. Middle School students have the opportunity to begin honors & Regents classes and may participate in modified sports and vocal and instrumental ensembles.
Modified sports available include soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, and track & field. Middle School students also participate in Spirit Week, the school drama, student government, Christian service, and mission trips.
Chapel Field High School houses grades 9-12 and is located on our South Campus along with our Middle School. High School students have the opportunity to take AP & College courses as well as Regents classes. Students participate in JV and Varsity sports and vocal and instrumental ensembles, drama club, Student Government, National Honor Society, Youth Conquest with Christ, Math Team, mission trips, cultural trips, prom, beach day, and more.
