A campus within the West Virginia University system, WVU Tech serves more than 1,600 students representing more than 30 states and 25 countries.
WVU Tech consists of two academic colleges: the College of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences. The University offers more than 40 academic programs, including 9 ABET-accredited engineering programs. With an average class size of 17 students, our classes provide personalized attention in a supportive environment. As a division of West Virginia University, WVU Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Several academic programs, including engineering, engineering technology, and nursing, hold specialized accreditation.

WVU Tech students are active in more than 30 student-led organizations. From gaming and media clubs to Greek life and student government, there's a group for you. (Pro tip: if there isn't a group for you, we give you the tools to make it!) Our students play on 15 men's and women's athletic teams - and they do it while making the grade. WVU Tech's Student Activities Board keeps students busy throughout the year with live musical performances, comedians, movies fresh out of the theater, and other on-campus events.
WVU Tech students, faculty, and staff give back in a big way. Volunteerism is a big part of who we are, and it plays a vital role in what makes a well-rounded student. Tech Adventures is known for its outdoor orientation program, but it's so much more than that. The program offers equipment rentals, trip-planning resources, and scheduled adventure events throughout the year.
