Bishop Ireton High School is a Catholic college preparatory school in the City of Alexandria, Virginia, that serves students from across the Washington Metropolitan area in grades 9 through 12. As a Salesian community of learning, Bishop Ireton is dedicated to the educational and spiritual formation of young men and women, challenging them to Advance Always in scholarship, service, and in the love of God and one another. Bishop Ireton's college preparatory curriculum has a solid tradition of educating young men and women of faith by offering rigorous academics and vital athletic and fine arts programs in a culture rich with Salesian Spirituality.

We offer a challenging college-prep curriculum, honors, and Advanced Placement courses, geared explicitly for 21st-century learning. By the time they graduate, Bishop Ireton students are well prepared to succeed at the nation's top colleges and universities, evidenced by our 99% college placement rate. Also, they leave with a unique perspective on who they are and how they can make a difference in the world.

Bishop Ireton's Academic Enrichment Program is a course students may take in their study hall to supplement and reinforce their knowledge and understanding of the concepts taught in their daily classes. The program is staffed by qualified teachers and includes the core subjects of Math, English, and History, as well as Science and Spanish support. Along with re-teaching of subject skills, review for upcoming quizzes and tests is also provided. The program offers a small group environment, giving students more opportunities for personal attention to their needs. The Program teachers collaborate with the different subject departments to follow the daily curriculum and track student progress.
