Mount Saint Mary College was founded by the Sisters of Saint Dominic in 1959, but the Mount has been an academic presence here in Newburgh since 1883. The college's roots in education and educators' training go even further back to the 13th century and Saint Dominic.
We offer our students an affordable liberal arts education with vital academic undergraduate programs and three graduate programs. Our degree programs in business, education, the health professions, media studies, and the social sciences are linked to high career growth. Mount students excel in their chosen fields by selecting internships and study abroad experiences that add dimension and value to their education.

The Office of Online Learning supports Mount Saint Mary College's broader mission by committing to the needs of students' learning in the contemporary online and hybrid classroom. We do this by using learner-centered methodology and collaboration across the disciplines and the campus at large.
Moreover, we recognize that the very nature of this field is ever-changing and dynamic. We strive to facilitate and share our expertise regarding best practices in online pedagogy and learning and prioritize the training and support of faculty who implement these methods in their classrooms.
The Mount's Study Abroad program –– part of the Career Center — provides students with a global education beyond the classroom experience. Our study abroad initiative responds to the growing need for well-rounded graduates with an understanding of international affairs and world cultures. Studying abroad supports our students and broadens their academic perspective, global awareness, and personal development as engaged world citizens.

The mission of the Office of Disability Services is to provide individualized support to students with disabilities to ensure access to a complete and fulfilling higher education. Disability Services offers classroom and academic accommodations, testing accommodations, consultation advocacy, and campus accessibility assistance. Disability Services acts as a resource for students, faculty, and staff who need assistance in addressing disability issues and concerns. Disability Services coordinates Mount Saint Mary College's academic and non-academic campus accommodations (including temporary disabilities), helps students communicate needs to faculty and staff, and works collaboratively with other departments to resolve any concerns related to disability needs that may arise.
P.R.I.D.E. is designed to wrap supports around students who are registered through the Office of Disability Services and provide one-to-one meetings focusing on independence, academic success, and self-advocacy facilitation with other campus departments, social skills, symptom management, coping/stress management skills, and communication skills.
