Yara International School was started in the year 2003 with the idea of starting a school with a difference, a school that is truly innovative and genuinely child-centered catering to the needs of the Indian community. The school aims to provide quality education at an affordable cost to the younger members of the Indian Diaspora with emphasis on the overall development of the children. In 14 years, YIS has become a name to reckon with. For an institution that started with a humble beginning of 79 students, the journey of success has been extraordinary in every sense of the word. The ascent to the top has been gradual but focused and determined. At present, our school has a strength of around 3000 students. In the past few years, YIS has scaled new heights of success on all fronts, be it academics, sports, or co-curricular activities, making it one of the most sought-after institutions in Riyadh, K.S.A. The school currently offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade XII.
The school operates in a state of the art campus with spacious classrooms, Kindergarten recreational area, Sports grounds, resourceful Library, well equipped Science and Math Labs, High Tech-I.T Labs, Health and Wellness club, Auditorium, and above all Smart Class system across all grades.

The school curriculum is completely based on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India. Care has been taken to build in the all-around developmental needs of the children while designing our curriculum. In addition to scholastic subjects, computer education and sports & games are integral parts of the curriculum. It is child-centered, innovative, value-based, and activity-oriented with reinforcement of concepts taught with the help of hands-on learning experiences, field trips, and play-way methods.
YIS offers an expansive array of curriculum to meet the needs of students of all age groups. At the Kindergarten and Primary level, we follow the “Play Way Method” advocated by Jean Jacques Rousseau i.e. “Learning through the self-expression” and “Learning by Doing”. In the initial stages, the focus is on oral language development and value education. Gradually other skills are integrated into the curriculum. In addition to scholastic subjects, children are taught Music, Outdoor games, and Art and crafts to sharpen their gross and fine motor skills. From the Primary level onwards CCE scheme of evaluation as recommended by CBSE is followed.
At the Secondary and Senior Secondary Levels, YIS offers a comprehensive CBSE curriculum that helps students prepare not only for the CBSE examinations but also for competitive examinations like National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
