Al-Bassam Schools were founded in 1420/1998 as the leading innovative school in Dammam, known for its quality of education, well-rounded environment, and its commitment to academic excellence.

The school is recognized as a leader in the country with a strong commitment to global citizenship while ensuring that students remain firmly rooted in their culture and Islamic values.

Our main goal is to graduate distinguished students and productive global citizens who serve their country and possess high skills in thinking, discussion, and life.

Al Bassam Schools seek hard to provide efficient teaching staff who is capable of achieving the educational mission. Our professional academic staff consists of qualified, experienced, and highly dedicated teachers representing 17 different nationalities.

Al Bassam schools provide maximum opportunities for continued professional development through various workshops, diplomas, and training programs run by the Head of the Quality Assurance & Performance Assessment Unit.

We work on developing and supporting employees’ abilities with modern approaches in the field of education. The schools adopt a professional development plan and Strategic Plan including continuous professional programs for all employees at the level of senior management, the level of middle management, and the level of teachers through training programs conducted by internal and external experts.

The main purpose is to exchange experience and identify the latest approaches in education and leadership to achieve sustainable development for all staff.

The quality of the educational product has become a prerequisite to achieving excellence and leadership. Accordingly, Al Bassam Schools are keen on establishing a Quality Assurance and Performance Assessment Unit (QAPAU) to keep pace with the global developments and achieve standards of excellence in performance at all educational levels.

The role of this unit is to check and assess inputs, processes, and outputs according to the standards and indicators of local and international authorities. It provides reliable measurement tools including the assessment of the learning domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The main purpose is to identify and measure the quality performance, diagnose difficulties, and early intervention for dealing appropriately either in the remedial or supportive plan. Moreover, the Quality Assurance & Performance Assessment Unit estimates employees’ current and future training needs in all areas of school work and designs development programs reflected positively on performance excellence and quality.

Al Bassam Schools, which offer a broad academic bilingual curriculum with Arabic and English as two languages of instruction, strive for academic excellence, supported by a co-curricular program to develop holistic learners.

There are three main academic programs in Al-Bassam Schools: the Saudi National Curriculum, the British International Curriculum IGCSE, and the International programs (PYP-IB) curriculum. Our schools are keen on accurate planning to implement the standards of these academic programs professionally through annual plans resulting in daily lesson plans. These plans consider the three domains of learning: the cognitive domain based on the Bloom taxonomy, the affective domain based on Krathwohl, et al. taxonomy, and the psychomotor domain based on Simpson taxonomy. Therefore, we have been able to find comprehensive and balanced plans for the academic programs for all learning domains and students at their different levels.
