St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College is a K-12 college that is located in Mount Druitt, Western Sydney. There are 3 main buildings: The Primary Building, The High School Building, and the Multipurpose Hall. There are many facilities to cater to student needs and interests. There is also the Angelos Child Care on the school grounds. This is convenient for parents who have children of several ages. The College also has a Vacation Care Centre that runs during every school holiday.
Saint Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College is a parish-based Christian Community School that aims to work in partnership with teachers, parents, and students to create an atmosphere where Christian values and Coptic Orthodox tradition are the foundation of the school’s practices. St. Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College is a school where students and staff feel secure and supported by all members of the school community.
The distinctive, sincere, and continuous practices of Christian love, service, and humility provide students with the opportunity to develop and display high spiritual and moral standards. Our students are challenged to strive for excellence and success in all areas of the curriculum and school life by working to their full potential, gaining confidence in the person that God created them to be, and becoming willing and active participants in the Church and the Australian community.
St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College is a school that will encourage and endorses a positive atmosphere where students will desire a love for learning and a love for God. With this, students will develop into mature young adults, who will have the responsibility of carrying our Christian faith to future generations. Mission College is a school where students and staff feel secure and supported by all members of the school community.
St Bishoy is the patron Saint of the College. His life story is the epitome of faith, courage, and the strong conviction of love with, and in, our Lord Jesus Christ, which the College aims to foster in the children. They remind us of the sacrifice and the strength of our Coptic Orthodox Faith.
The emblem of St Bishoy was adopted because of its' many special contemplations. The rich Pharaonic culture is illustrated by the image of the 'Kartouche' and the hieroglyphics, not forgetting the contrast of the golden sands and the life-giving blue of the Nile. The beauty and tranquility of Australia are vividly depicted in the flower of the Waratah. The scroll represents the school's focus on learning, while the glorious Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the centerpiece of our lives as Christians.
