The Amman Baccalaureate School is a bilingual (Arabic/English), coeducational, K – 12, Jordanian day school located on the outskirts of Amman, the capital of Jordan. The School is an all-through International Baccalaureate (IB) World Continuum School, which offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from KG1 to Grade 5, the IB Middle Years Programme from Grade 6 to Grade 10, and a choice of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or the IB Career-related Programme (CP) to students in Grades 11 and 12. The School is one of less than 30 schools worldwide to offer all 4 IB Programmes and the first school in Jordan to do so.
The school was founded to provide a bilingual education that would meet, in quality and breadth, the highest international standards, whilst remaining firmly rooted in the Arab heritage and culture. At the same time, the school has increasingly attracted students from the international community who wish to take advantage of the opportunity offered in the Middle Years School and IB Diploma College to pursue an education in English which, nonetheless, sustains close contact with the culture of the host country.
