At Woodland, we are passionate about early childhood education. With over 40 years of international Pre-School excellence and experience, our early years teaching will give your child the best start in his or her developmental journey. We offer classes for children from six months through to six years, following the British Early Years Foundation curriculum and Montessori learning approaches. Both teaching approaches are fully accredited with language options in English, Mandarin, and Bilingual. Woodland Montessori Academy is conveniently located near the Mid-Levels escalator on Caine Road, in the very heart of Hong Kong. We are a global community, made up of over 40 different nationalities.
The Mid-Levels preschool in Central provides bright, open, warm, and engaging learning environments with unique purpose-built play spaces. Split across three sites our Montessori Academy focuses on Pre-School development and Prep for Primary with its own large indoor Sports Hall and Activity Gym great for football matches, karate, and even a spot of yoga! At the Mid-Levels preschool, we also have our own library which children love to join with a computer area for children to explore, under the guidance of our expert Pre-School teachers.
Across the road, our Junior Academy offers state-of-the-art facilities for toddlers of 18 months to 2years 8 months and is home to FIVE outdoor play areas including The Lawn, toddler-sized football and basketball courts, a purpose-built High Street, and an amazing Splash zone along with a special indoor sensory room. The Woodland Annexe is specifically designed with our youngest students in mind dedicated sensorial, developmental, music & movement, and soft play areas allow babies from 6 to 18 months to flourish in a stimulating targeted environment.
Our mission is simple we aim to fulfill every child’s unique potential, we do this by following the simple ideal of nothing without joy. The Woodland approach inspires children to learn through discovery, to be collaborative, and to make their own choices and decisions. Through our flexible and open-ended play-based classes, we strongly promote creativity and independence of thought essential attributes for a child growing up in the modern world. Our children are confident, independent, and have a love of learning the essential foundation on which their primary education can be based.
