EduCativ
International School Mainfranken delivers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) and supports Middle School students as they progress towards the IGCSE. We are an IB World School which means that ISM is fully accredited to deliver a rigorous International Curriculum. All IB programs aim to develop internationally minded people, who demonstrate the attributes of the Learner Profile. IB learners strive to be: Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-Minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced and Reflective. This is done through the delivery of a curriculum that is engaging, relevant, challenging, and significant. The International Baccalaureate emphasizes putting learning in a global context and making real-world connections with learning. The curriculum at ISM is designed to support this aim, encompassing students’ academic welfare, as well as their social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs. ISM offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate for students between the ages of 6 and 12 years. The PYP combines the best research and practice from a range of national systems, with a wealth of knowledge and experience from international schools, to create a relevant and engaging educational framework for all children. The Primary Years Programme has an overlying framework for its curriculum. Six transdisciplinary themes are covered each year. Students inquire into different themes which are meaningful, relevant, and have global significance. Students in Grades 6 – 8 participate in a unique curriculum that builds upon the knowledge and experience gained in elementary school. The main goal of our Middle School Programme is to allow ISM students to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Our balanced student-centered curriculum is based upon the internationally recognized Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum and the German State Curriculum. Into these curricula, we continue to embed the ideas and philosophy of the International Baccalaureate Organisation to further students’ knowledge and skills while allowing them to develop into independent lifelong learners. The core classes include English, German, Mathematics, Social Studies, Combined Science, Physical Education, Art, Music, and Spanish. The interdisciplinary approach of this international program, small class sizes, and highly qualified international teachers prepares students to successfully enter into High School. Guest finmir-otzivi
I have a teenage relative age 17 who lives in a different country. He is fluent in English and wants to attend his final year of high school in America. Does anyone know whether any of the Catholic high schools or Northrop accepts International students? He will not need any financial assistance if tuition is required. What is the process for enrolling an International student? Thank you in advance
