To create an environment and atmosphere where a pupil can grow, develop and mature to become a confident individual, aware of the welfare of others, and a responsible member of society. Offer an education of the highest possible quality that reflects the requirements of the individual, society, the Education Authority, and the Government through the National Curriculum. To enable every pupil to develop to be fluent in English and Welsh so that they can take a full part in the social and cultural life of the bilingual society.
To establish a happy and hardworking atmosphere based on an interrelationship of respect and care of teachers towards each other, teachers and pupils of each other, that enable pupils to behave positively and develop self-confidence.
To ensure that pupils have an equal opportunity by providing for them a curriculum that is relevant, differentiative, expansive, and balanced interpreting the requirements of the National Curriculum in the context of the Education Authority’s philosophy and policies. To ensure that the Authority’s revised Language Policy is implemented effectively in the context of the National Curriculum including the ‘Welsh Language Charter. The school has been awarded the ‘Bronze’ status and will be applying for ‘Silver’ status in Summer 2017.
