The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School community lives by our motto “All things for Christ”. Our students are loved and challenged commitment towards their spiritual, academic, and personal growth is unwavering.

The outstanding achievements of our 2017 GCSE and Sixth Form students are a reflection of the school’s high academic standards and while we believe that examination results are vital, we also acknowledge the importance of providing opportunities for developing attributes important in life, including social, team, presentation and leadership skills.

The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School believes in education for all. We aim to achieve this in a caring Catholic community based on the Gospel values of equality and justice. Our community seeks to follow the example and teaching of Jesus Christ to love God and help one another. We live by our motto: 'All things for Christ'

To fulfill our Mission statement our aims are:

• To work with parents and the local parishes to nurture the spiritual growth of our learners
• To ensure that all learners fulfill their academic potential through a curriculum that is stimulating, balanced, and supported by a rich variety of wider learning opportunities (Education for All = Achievement for All)
• To provide the highest quality of care and guidance to our learners
• To develop the knowledge, skills, and social awareness that will ensure our learners become active citizens within their communities
• To promote safe and healthy lifestyles for our learners
• To encourage positive parental and wider community involvement

The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School is a strong community centered on Jesus and founded on Christian faith, love, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. The Chaplaincy team supports the spiritual and religious life of the school through liturgies, prayer, social justice events, and awareness of God’s Presence in all things.

We have blessed a full-time chaplain, Tom Tilbrook. The success of Chaplaincy depends on the collaboration and support from a cross-section of staff, students, parents, governors, and local clergy who share their gifts of time and talent to make these activities possible.

Although the Chaplains do not have a formal counseling role in the school, they are available for students, staff & parents should they need to speak to someone. We serve to support and pray with anyone who is in need.
