We offer an outstanding educational experience to boys and girls from 6 to 13. Your child is unique and the ideal school understands this. The Academy School was founded in 1997 on the principle that children should first and foremost be happy. The school's lively spirit and caring environment enable children to enjoy learning - with outstanding results.
We have a broad curriculum that caters to the individual needs of our children. Through the use of sets and attention to the individual requirements of our children, we can help each child to be motivated, inspired, and to perform at his or her potential.
We have a strong focus on English and Mathematics. In addition, the Academy School syllabus includes Science, French, History, Geography Latin, Music, Art, Drama, and PE. These subjects are taught by dedicated, experienced subject teachers.
We offer a range of activities in both the school curriculum and extracurricular activities. We take advantage of our proximity to central London to take children on various field trips (museums, theatres, Hampstead Heath) throughout the academic year. Every summer the whole school works together to create our school musical.
Within our culture of mutual respect and equality, our aim is for our children to value themselves as the individuals they are. Happy, confident children, whose intellectual and emotional needs are met, are most likely to reach their full potential academically. Class sizes are small and flexibility in the timetable ensures a high degree of individual attention.
In academic terms, the Academy aims to provide a well-rounded education and take each child to their maximum potential. The children are prepared for Entrance Examinations to independent schools at 11+, 12+, and 13+.
The School actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
