Welcome to St Anthony of Padua Catholic Primary School. We are a one-form entry, a voluntary aided school in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool for children from 4-11.
We aim to be a 'Happy, Safe and Successful School' and our Catholic ethos and mission statement permeate our everyday life in school. In partnership with our Parish and our families we live out the gospel values and celebrate our faith.
St Anthony of Padua is a small Catholic Primary School based in Sands Road, Liverpool 18. The school originally opened in Green Lane (now Our Lady of the Annunciation) in the early 50s but then moved to the present site in 1971. Everything we do at St. Anthony of Padua reflects our school Mission Statement and Motto, which is “Growing Together Following Jesus”
Over the last few years, the school has been very successful in achieving a variety of awards, for example, The “School Games Gold Award,” which is a national award, which demonstrates the school’s commitment to physical activity. “Liverpool Healthy Schools Award,” in recognition of our commitment to encouraging healthy lifestyles.
“Dyslexia Friendly School Level 1,” showing our support for all those with Special Needs. In addition, we hold the Inclusion Mark, the Basic Skills Quality Mark, Liverpool Counts Quality Mark, and Liverpool Reading Quality Mark.
Reading is at the very heart of our school, St. Anthony of Padua. We aim to make sure that all of our children become confident and happy readers, with a real love for books. We do this as a whole school community, working in partnership with our parents, libraries, parishioners, and other local schools. As we 'read together for pleasure' in the words of one of our Year Six pupils.

This Children’s Mental Health Week, children, young people, and adults are being encouraged to celebrate their uniqueness. It’s all about #BeingOurselves!
When we have a positive view of ourselves it can help us to cope with life’s challenges, and recognizing the different qualities of others can allow us to connect with those around us – which is vital for our own and others’ wellbeing.
