Our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and our learning they provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

We believe that children can develop responsibility, with respect for themselves and each other, thus creating a community that has values and attitudes that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives. We strive to ensure that our children will learn a great deal whilst they are with us, that they will have aspiration and self-belief. We want them to be happy and to enjoy learning just as we do.

The Department for Education has published guidance on promoting British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. All schools must ‘actively promote’ the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Our children are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment. As a school, we provide boundaries for our pupils to make choices safely, through the provision of a safe environment and empowering learning. Our children are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and are advised how to exercise these safe examples of this can be seen in our e-safety and P.S.H.E. lessons. Whether it is through the choice of challenge of how they record of participation in our numerous extracurricular activities - our pupils are given the freedom to make choices. Choice brings future happiness.
