Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School is situated in Birmingham Local Authority and was originally built in 1967 to serve the parish children of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Quinton. Since this time it has been developed and extended as a well maintained and calm learning environment, with much recent refurbishment making the school an even more welcoming place to learn and to visit.
There are extensive grounds and outdoor facilities to enhance the outdoor and sporting opportunities available. We are a happy, thriving school welcoming 210 children from Reception to Year 6. We do not have a Nursery facility but there is a before and after school club called 'Early Birds and Evening Owls'.
Our visitors frequently tell us our warm, caring ethos based on our strong Catholic faith is evident as they walk around our school. We are an inclusive Catholic community that celebrates both diversity and the uniqueness of the individual. We work hard to ensure the entire community can grow and learn together.
We are a small family community with a strong Christian ethos. We take tremendous pride in knowing our children very well and being committed to offering them the finest start to their education, where they can thrive in a safe, caring, welcoming, and happy environment of mutual respect. Our vision remains rooted in our Mission Statement which is the foundation for all learning where: We welcome everyone into our community to live, love, and learn together in the light and example of Jesus Christ.
Being a fully inclusive school, we value every individual and the contributions they make. We want our children to experience the pleasure of achieving personal academic successes, linked to a strong sense of morality and fairness, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ within our Christian faith.
As a family school, our partnership with parents is of paramount importance to us. We believe that children learn best when home, school, and parish work together for their benefit. When starting school, children bring a rich tapestry of knowledge and understanding about the world around them, which they have already learned from you, their parents – their first educators.
