Your child will feel at home in a caring, family atmosphere at Moor Allerton with no more than 20 in Nursery and Reception classes. Teachers will get to know your child individually and they will receive support from staff throughout the school, not just in the Early Years. We have been located in the heart of Didsbury for over 100 years and are part of the local community.
Your child will receive a valuable introduction to a learning environment thanks to a balanced and stimulating curriculum to start their educational career. Early Years children will cover the three prime areas of communication, language, physical and personal, social and emotional development as well as literacy, maths, understanding of the world, and expressive arts and design. With small class sizes and dedicated teaching staff, your child's skills, interests, and ability will be given every chance to shine.

Selecting the right school for your child can be a difficult choice. However, after a visit to Moor Allerton, we are confident that you will choose our school for your child’s education. You can meet the Head and see the school in action when you drop in. Once you have a feel for our atmosphere here, you can register your child. The main school admissions are in September but we do welcome pupils all year round. There is a registration fee and children are required to take an informal assessment from Year One upwards. This process will be as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Your child will mix with the other children and complete simple tasks appropriate to their age. The assessment will be a full day for children looking to join in the Upper School, Years Three to Six.
Staying in the know regarding your child’s progress and education is essential. This is why we will provide you with all the information you need at Moor Allerton. The information for parents that we will provide is in the form of email newsletters, written reports about how your child is doing, and formal parent evenings. This will make sure you have the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their Form Teacher and view classwork and projects. Of course, you can always pop into the office and book an appointment if there is anything that you need to speak to us about.
